My name is Chris.
I’m a coach based in Cork, Ireland, accredited by the International Association of Mind Coaches.
After a decade in tech, I know what stuck feels like. That’s why I now help high performers be less empty at work and more present at home.
My approach is practical and future-focused. Structured change work to help you shift the thoughts, feelings, and behaviours keeping you second-guessing your way through your career.
My Story
As my decade long tech career progressed, I started slowly unravelling. I defined myself by my results, made myself small in meetings and constantly left myself privately overthinking about what I did and didn't say. At the start of each week, I put on the 'everything's grand' face and got on with the grind.
What would it say about me if I gave up? I kept pushing until one Monday my body made the decision for me: answering a simple email suddenly felt impossible. I'd burnt out. I had to take four months off work to recover.
Soon after, I hired a coach, and for the first time, I recognised my limiting patterns instead of trying to outrun them. Successfully overcoming long-standing limitations made it clear: patterns are not a life sentence. They are not part of your personality. They are ingrained habits you learned so they can be unlearned. You are so much more than your patterns.
My mission is to help high achievers who have read the books, heard the podcasts, got the advice, done the therapy and feel disheartened because nothing has helped enough. I’ve been in that hopeless place. Learning what works got me out, and I want that for you too.
That’s why I founded Invite Purpose.
What makes me qualified to help you
Practical Qualifications
In 7+ years of tech leadership at Apple, Indeed, and komoot, I experienced the demanding, fast pace firsthand and saw how tech environments can create self-doubt in high performers that often lead to burnout even before the rise of AI. Seemingly endless exhaustion and stress led me to start up-skilling in 2018 under expert practitioners, trainers and coaches who, for decades, have shaped the field of personal transformation:
Richard Bandler, co-creator of NLP
Brian Colbert, leading consultant in personal growth
Owen Fitzpatrick, international authority on belief change
Tamara Andreas, seasoned expert in human-centred change
Mark Andreas, trainer & coach for personal transformations
Academic Qualifications
I studied coaching on an academic level at University College Cork as I believe that working with people comes with an ethical responsibility and part of that is knowing the science behind the craft. I completed a Postgraduate Diploma as well as a Master of Science in Personal & Management Coaching. My MSc thesis explored imposter syndrome in the context of identity & coaching, exploring themes such as:
How personal/professional boundaries affect our identity
How imposter syndrome erodes a person's self-image
How burnout and imposter syndrome are closely connected
How imposter syndrome is widely misunderstood/mishandled
How to support people with moving past imposter syndrome

“I needed a space to untangle my thoughts, find direction, and take meaningful steps forward. From our very first session, Chris created that space. His thoughtful questions helped me uncover insights that had been just out of reach, leading to powerful “aha” moments that propelled me forward. He didn’t just guide me - he celebrated these breakthroughs with me, reinforcing my confidence and encouraging my next steps.”
